The System Was Never Built for Us — And That’s Why We Break

Welcome to Coffee Cup City.

This is my first post here, and I want to start with the truth:

The system was never built for people like us.
Not for the ones who struggle alone.
Not for the ones who were handed trauma instead of support.
Not for the ones who wake up every day already exhausted from simply trying to survive.

We are told to work harder, love stronger, stay quiet, and heal faster — all while carrying burdens no one else sees. And when we finally crack under the pressure, the world calls us “weak.”

But the truth is: we didn’t break — we were broken down.

By systems that value profit over people.
By institutions designed to keep some rising and others crawling.
By a world that gives help to those already ahead and hurdles to those already drowning.

Here, in this space, I want to document the real process of rebuilding:

☕ Healing from trauma
☕ Navigating single parenthood
☕ Rediscovering self-worth
☕ Finding identity after survival
☕ Fighting for a life that feels like ours again

If you’re reading this, maybe you’re rebuilding too.
Maybe you’re tired of pretending everything is fine.
Maybe you’re here because you refuse to stay broken one more day.

You’re not alone.
Not here.

Let’s take it one coffee cup at a time.
Let’s expose the cracks in the system — and grow through them.

Welcome to the start of something real.
